It’s Always Sunny in A Sunroom

We often hear about the popularity of a “three season room” but the problem is right in the name. Why only enjoy a space for three seasons when you can enjoy it year round?

The original structure of this sunroom was not pleasant in peak winter or summer. The amount of windows made the space susceptible to extreme heat and extreme cold. (Not to mention a day’s worth of chores alone to clean all the glass!) One of the top priority’s of this sunroom remodel was to address the need to better regulate temperature in the space, making it enjoyable 365 days a year!

A Traditional Sunroom Upgrade for the Ages

We knew the immediate need for this sunroom remodel was to rebuild with double pane insulated windows. This would help regulate heat in the summer and chill in the winter. Another concern was redesigning the space to fit the home’s traditional design aesthetic. In doing so, we were able to utilize common building materials and truly make the room feel like a extension of the home.

For the exterior the client decided to go with a stone veneer base with shake style siding above, allowing the room to stand out from the main house. This room is now an accent to the home – and the finish selection plays a major role in this! Customization – It Builds Character!

Custom woodworking always takes projects the extra mile. To enhance the space with the interior woodworking (trim), we introduced classical moulding profiles along with a bead board ceiling. The flooring we selected was a luxury vinyl plank, being durable and waterproof while offering a real wood look!
